• Large-file prompts: The “open without temporary file” prompt now identifies the file in question.
• Toolbar text labels: Labels are remembered between sessions.
• Custom templates folder: Settings are now respected.
• JavaScript async functions: These functions now appear in the Function List.
• User-tool icons: Icons render crisply on high-DPI displays.
• Windows Explorer context menu: UltraEdit no longer appears in the Recycle Bin, Control Panel, and similar context menus where it cannot perform useful actions.
• Find notifications: The “beep instead of message box” option now applies to every find operation.

• Large files: Resolved unresponsive behavior when using word wrap on large files opened without temporary files.
• Keyboard focus: Starting UltraEdit now keeps keyboard focus on the editor window.

Editing and display fixes

• Text alignment: Tabbed text now lines up correctly with proportional fonts, and mixed-width characters remain aligned.
• Korean input: Characters are no longer dropped when typing quickly.

Column mode

• The “Do not insert/fill on empty last line” setting is now honored.
• Find in selection now selects the correct text.
• Go To Line/Column: Navigation is accurate in UTF-16 files, and the status-bar column is correct on wrapped, tab-indented lines.
• Very long lines: Clicking the line number now selects the correct line.
• Bookmark gutter: Clicking the gutter no longer highlights text accidentally.

Syntax highlighting

• Syntax highlighting remains correct after copy-and-paste operations.
• Match Brace works correctly with very large files again.
• Clipboard: Copied content can now be transferred to remote-desktop tools such as UltraVNC.
• File paths: Paths containing forward slashes (/) are accepted on the command line and at startup.

New language support

• Cerner Command Language (CCL): Added support for CCL, used with Cerner Millennium, at the request of a healthcare customer.
• Algol 60 and Algol 68: Added support for both languages.
• Both additions include syntax highlighting, Function List support, code folding, and brace matching.
• Spaces or tabs per language: Languages can now specify whether indentation uses spaces or tabs. Python is configured to use spaces by default. Tab, auto-indent, reindent, and templates follow the setting, while user-defined settings can override it.

Search fixes

• Find Previous: Now works with Perl regular expressions.
• Copy and Cut: Now work in UTF-16 files within interactive Find in Files results.
• Highlight All: Highlights the correct text after lines are moved or text is inserted.
• UTF-8 characters: Display correctly in the Find String List.

Find dialog fixes

• Focus no longer jumps to a nested dialog.
• Fixed clipped labels and buttons.

Hex mode fixes

• Clicking the ASCII pane no longer scrolls the view unexpectedly.
• Byte counts are now accurate.
• The caret remains aligned after changing the bytes-per-line setting.

• Macro keyboard shortcuts: Continue working after another macro is deleted.
• Macros: Can be edited and renamed reliably, including from the Macro List.
• Scripts: Scripts that copy large blocks between files work as expected again.
• User-tool output: Replaces the entire selection.

• Ribbon customization: Commands remain in custom groups.
• Toolbar visibility: Settings are saved consistently, regardless of the menu mode.
