The O&O RegEditor is integrated in O&O BlueCon and is similar in structure to the well-known Windows RegEdit. The O&O RegEdit provides full access to the Windows registry database.

Windows registry stores the settings for numerous Windows services, programs and drivers. Changing or creating system and program settings belongs to the daily routine of every Administrator.

This Registry Editor makes working with the registration database significantly easier. It comes with an eminently user-friendly application, but it is through it’s portability that it really makes the life of an Administrator much easier.

Warning! The incorrect use of O&O RegEditor can cause sever problems affecting the whole system and may necessitate reinstalling the operating system.

Before making changes to the Registry database in Windows, you should make a backup copy of all important computer information with an imaging program, such as O&O DiskImage.

O&O cannot guarantee that problems caused by the incorrect use of O&O RegEditor will be repairable. You accept full responsibility for using this application.

The search pane now automatically focuses the search input when opened, allowing the user to type immediately.

Fixed

Crash and undefined behavior during application shutdown while a registry search was running, caused by posting messages to a destroyed caller window (PostToCaller introduced).
Search pane displayed an empty or transparent body when reopened after being closed via Cancel.
Address bar toolbar displayed incorrect images in dark mode.
Tabs and pane captions were rendered inconsistently in light and dark themes.

Added a dark theme. Under View > Appearance, you can follow the Windows setting or permanently select a light or dark theme. Changes are applied immediately.
Added support for high-resolution displays (High DPI). Icons and toolbars are now displayed sharply in multiple sizes.
The registry search now supports regular expressions and whole-word matching.
Added a live search that displays results as you type.
Search results can now be exported using Save Results As… as a REG file or a tab-separated text file (TXT).
Expanded favorites management with multi-selection, export, printing, and options for moving entries up or down.
The address bar now remembers recently used paths and also accepts paths prefixed with Computer\ or My Computer\.
Improved keyboard operation: Tab switches the focus between the registry tree and the value list, while Enter opens the edit dialog for the selected value.

The last opened registry key path is now restored when the program starts.
The window title now updates dynamically to reflect the current context.
