Fixed:

• RTSP cameras stuck on “Connecting” after a disconnect until deleted and re-added:
• Crash in the VLC decoder from a stop/dispose race on the media player.
• Windows installer: the port field showed junk characters and the “port in use” check failed against the retyped value, caused by a byte order mark in the port file Agent writes for the installer.
• Web UI: selecting recordings by dragging lost the selection when new recordings arrived mid-drag.

Changed

• applySchedule and applyScheduleToDevice now accept the same group and location targeting as the other device commands (group takes a name or a comma-separated list, case insensitive), and skip devices whose schedule is switched off, matching the automatic per-minute schedule run.

AI assistants (MCP)

• New get_workflow tool returns the built-in workflows (morning briefing, door report, wildlife report, camera health, day in review) as step-by-step text for assistants that do not support MCP prompts, such as ChatGPT.
• get_alerts now points assistants at the AI-written alert description (Describe Alerts) for cameras that alert without recording.
• get_activity_summary description clarified so assistants go on to fetch images for “show me” questions instead of stopping at the counts.

Changes in version 8.0.3.0:

• MCP server built in. AI assistants such as Claude Code and Claude Desktop can connect directly to your Agent at /mcp (LAN, no cloud). Query cameras, view live snapshots, browse recordings and alerts, get activity summaries and timeline sheets, arm/disarm, and control devices. Claude Desktop extension bundle available. Toggle under Server Settings > Local Server.
• New API commands for integrations: getCapabilities (feature flags and a full command catalogue), recording frame sampling, contact sheets, activity summaries, and time-windowed alert queries.
• WebRTC H.264 fix: profile and level now apply to all software encoders, including Media Foundation on Windows. Should fix iOS and iPad live video failing to play.
• Plugins: fixed MissingMethodException crashes in plugin code on trimmed builds.
• Trip wires: crossing counters drawn as plain numbers, fixing garbled labels in non-Latin locales.
• Fixes: motion graph “Collection was modified” errors during recording, VLC source stop/dispose race, object tracker crash on frame size change, OneDrive token errors now report the real cause, start page selector showing “Live Video” twice.
