Titan FTP Server is an enterprise class server product for storing and sharing files, with unparalleled performance and scalability. This software provides an advanced feature set, giving you flexibility and control. An intuitive administrative interface makes it easy to set up and maintain.

Titan FTP Server provides security and access control features such as SFTP or FTP over SSL for secure file transfers, S/Key MD4 and MD5 password encryption, enabling or disabling of anonymous access, and the ability to permit or deny access based on IP address. The server also includes the ability to block FXP and PASV mode transfers.

Bandwidth throttling and maximum transfer speed to customize the bandwidth by user or server. You can regulate the number of connections from a given IP, and block users and IP's after a configurable number of invalid commands.

Titan FTP Server supports a variety of file transfer protocols.

In addition to standard FTP, Titan supports the following secure protocols:

SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) [Enterprise Edition Only]

  • Supports SSH file transfer protocol versions 3 through 6.
  • Transfers all information over an encrypted channel.
  • Provides full SFTP support based on SSH-2 protocol.
  • Adheres to the IETF’s Internet Draft

FTPS (FTP with SSL/TLS) 

  • Supports SSL v3.0 and TLS v1.0 (SSL v3.1).
  • Transfers all information over an encrypted channel.
  • Uses Explicit FTPS (AUTH SSL/TLS) or Implicit FTPS to secure file transfers.

HTTP and HTTP/S

  • With the optional web interface, files can be transferred using HTTP or HTTP over SSL

Advanced features include: SSL support for secure file transfers, Virtual Folders, Unlimited user accounts (professional edition), Bandwidth Throttling Support, S/KEY Password Encryption, UL/DL Ratios, Disk Quotas, Banned/Free Files Lists, Anonymous Access Enable/Disable, Custom Messages, Log File Rotation.

Changes in Titan FTP Server 2019 Build 3555 (December 2, 2019):

  • Fixed: SFTP issue which could leave a file handle open during an upload if the disk quota was exceeded.
  • Fixed: ‘Require FTP/S’ issue which would kick the user even if ‘Require FTP/S’ was not enabled for the user.
  • Fixed: ‘Require FTP/S’ issue which did not kick the user until after receipt of the Password. If Require FTP/S is enabled, it is now checked when the USER command is issued.
  • Fixed: The srxTitan service could consume high CPU usage after upgrading from an older release.
  • Fixed: Issue in the SFTP engine which would cause excessive memory usage due to failed or banned connection attempts.
  • Fixed: when upgrading from 2018 to 2019 the Local Admin console may not login after the first reboot and a second reboot would be required.
  • Changed: The Email Server feature will now auto-accept remote TLS certificates from non-trusted sources.

Changes in Titan FTP Server 2019 (February 10, 2019):

  • Added: 301 Redirects for HTTP to HTTP/S. When enabled, all non-secure web traffic is redirected to http/s.
  • Added: Import/Export feature for Events. This feature enables events to be exported and imported into new server instances.
  • Added: Support for Multiple UNC authorization accounts on the UNC Accounts tab.
  • Added: There is now a ‘File Size’ condition in the event manager to trigger actions based on the size of a file.
