Very dangerous removal tool, only use as a last resort. It can cause more problems then what an infection can cause. The developer is sloppy, once he bundle malware within the program, claimed it wasn't intentional his development system was infected. Why would any developer use the same system to test malware? that is just asking for cross contamination.
I agree. I stopped using this app because I suspected that something was wrong.
Roberto Consueloyeah! I also use Malwarebytes, along with ESET NOD32 and WOT plugin in my Firefox. Do not need anything else. Additionally, these people responsible for Combofix not deserve credit for posting the application on the internet and blatantly say not to use it on their own, but to have a PC for analysis Forums or "most qualified." Here in Brazil we call these types of ""cara de pau", people who engage in questionable actions thinking that they alone are intelligent. In other words, as formerly, they were called "lammers"!
This application, in an earlier version, came with malware embedded. When asked, the author replied: "That was an oversight, I'm sorry." Do you trust this kind of app? I don't ! It's internet's trash... simply.
Still No Release to support Windows 8/8.1 ...
