altTop security with no loss of PC performance! A new era is beginning: For the first time, the usual optimum high security from G Data InternetSecurity is completely undetectable. Self-learning fingerprinting and whitelisting accelerate the test-winning protection so that PC performance remains completely unaffected.

Maximum security from the record test winner:
• Constant optimum virus detection
• For many years the quickest response time to new viruses
• The latest methods for detecting unknown viruses (behaviour blocking, heuristics, cloud security)

Simple user guidance - ideal for beginners:
• With new “one click” user interfaces - everything at a glance
• Automatically carries out all protection functions undetected in the background
• Silent firewall without annoying querying

G DATA InternetSecurity 2010 now offers even more comprehensive protection: With improved virus detection, antispam, antiphishing filters, child protection, an expanded firewall which, among other things, was optimized for games and less system load, the best in test as rated by the German "Stiftung Warentest" continues to expand its role as a quality leader.

G DATA AntiVirus
• DoubleScan: best, award-winning virus detection
• OutbreakShield: Immediate protection against new viruses
• New Heuristics detects even more unknown viruses
• Improved protection vfrom viruses, worms, rootkits, spyware, dialers, Trojans, backdoors, and more.
• Virus blockers for e-mails and instant messaging

G DATA Personal Firewall
• Award-winning protection against attacks
• New optimization for games: Switches automatically to Autopilot for transparent firewall protection
• Easier to use, thanks to new rules
• Four levels of security, or expert mode

G DATA AntiSpam
• Expanded by language blocker: detects and blocks ten different e-mail languages as desired

G DATA Child Protection
• Individual user profiles, blocks offensive contents and more
• Keywort-Filter for full text search (extensible)

G DATA WebFilter / Data shredder
• Trace eraser and data shredder
• Blocks banners, pop-ups, Flash, Java / VB script, etc.

Firewall is not so good, but the AV-component is excellent, probably the best there is (like having the largest and meanest dog on planet in your backyard),and pretty heavy on one´s system...Plus,there is one more serious flaw - AV can not be password protected !

    I don't like GData 2009 & 2010 that uses Avast+Bit Defender engines.
I still like the older version of GData that uses Avast+Kaspersky engines, it has much better detection rates. wink

AV-Comparatives an australian antivirus labaratory made a test attacking world most known antivirus sowtfares including G-data with 1.6mln viruses, worms and trojan horses. G-Data detection rate was 99.8%. second was Avira, 3rd McAffee and 4th Symantec Norton Antivirus :) How about performace, almost the same results, first place g-data, second and third Avast and Symantec.

Oh, if someone interested there are results http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/stories/test/ondret/avc_report23.pdf
